Imagine what it’s like to flee your home in fear. To arrive in a new country with nothing but your life. At AWC we provide practical support and guidance through various programs and workshops for refugee women who are resettling in Clarkson Georgia, having fled conflict and persecution. We also offer counseling and advice on how to access available resources including navigating the health system. As a grass root community organization, we are striving continously to get them the basic support they need and to help them build safe, happy and productive lives so they can live again with dignity. We believe in a community in which every human life is valued, and health and human dignity is shared by all. At AWC, we believe in empowerment. We also believe in delivering change! Change that translates into dignity not destitution!
